This cool season seed mix contains a high sugar producing tetraploid annual ryegrass which whitetails will readily browse, unlike other annual ryegrass varieties.  Annual ryegrass seed is known for its strong ability to germinate and establish, as long as the seed makes contact with the topsoil and receives adequate rainfall.  We have also added a hardy, soil building, whitetail preferred, annual clover, along with a perennial chicory and a large bulb producing turnip.  These small seeds can also germinate and establish when “rained in” on exposed topsoil.  The name “Blow-Till” means just that!  You only need to use a leaf blower and/or rake to expose the topsoil, then broadcast this product with the recommended pelletized lime and/or fertilizer for the ultimate, hidden, small hunting plot.  If you are dealing with tough soil conditions, Plantler “Blow-Till” is a great product for you.  These tough soil conditions are often found on eroded ridge tops and in very sandy soils.
