Alabama hunters and anglers now have a new way to purchase and manage hunting and fishing licenses for the 2026-27 season.

According to an Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) press release, the new My Outdoor Alabama licensing system, available through the department’s website, includes guides for logging in and creating new accounts. Hunters and anglers can also access the system through the ADNR website and the Outdoor AL app.

The upgrade is designed to make purchasing licenses, managing accounts, and accessing outdoor privileges easier.

To log into the system, existing customers will need their Conservation ID number, date of birth, and driver’s license information.

Information such as Hunter Education certifications, Game Check records and Snapper Check records will be transferred to the new system but saved payment information will not.

Those purchasing commercial licenses for saltwater species will still need to visit Alabama Marine Resources Division offices in Orange Beach or Dauphin Island, where licenses will go on sale October 1. No presale is available.

The required reporting of red snapper, greater amberjack, and gray triggerfish harvests can still be completed through the Outdoor AL app or online.
