The Facebook CEO says his 2011 resolution to only eat meat he killed himself "was a crazy challenge"
In 2011, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg challenged himself to only eat meat that he killed. In fact, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey claimed in a Rolling Stone interview that Zuckerberg once served him a goat that he'd killed himself. Zuckerberg has since stepped away from that challenge, but says he still hunts.
According to Business Insider, the billionaire executive wrote about bowhunting in response to a comment on his recent Facebook post announcing his New Year's resolutions.
The news articles about Zuckerberg's post all claim hunting wild boars is an "unconventional hobby," which I guess it is for a Silicon Valley billionaire.
"I miss the 'I'm going to personally kill what I eat' days," a commenter to his Facebook post wrote.
Zuckerberg replied, "That was a crazy challenge. I still go hunting. These days mostly with a bow and arrow though."
When another commenter asked Zuckerberg which animal he mostly hunts, Zuckerberg responded "wild boar."
The news articles about Zuckerberg's post all claim hunting wild boars is an "unconventional hobby," which I guess it is for a Silicon Valley billionaire. But around here, we know hog hunting is actually a lot of fun and extremely popular, especially down South — and in California, too. The invasive species is responsible for at least $1.5 billion in damage to agriculture and the environment annually.
