Cash for Your Squirrel Tails
It's that time of the year. Mepps, the fishing lure company, has asked squirrel hunters to save tails from kills. Read more on how you can get cash and help them out.
Why Tails?
Used for their hand-tied, dressed fishing-lure hooks, Mepps has recycled squirrel tails for over 50 years.
Squirrels are good eating and we can reuse their tails for making the world's #1 lure, said Mepps communications director, Josh Schwartz. Consider harvesting squirrels for the 2017 hunting season.

What Tails?
Mepps buys fox, black, gray and red squirrel tails.
They'll pay up to 26 cents for each one, depending on quality and quantity. Cash value is doubled if the tails are traded for Mepps lures.
Schwartz reminds everyone, "We do not advocate harvesting of squirrels solely for their tails."
