Watch as Coyote Jumps Fence and Chases Woman and Her Dog

A coyote was filmed jumping a fence and chasing after a woman and her dog in a Massachusetts neighborhood as they fled the wild canine.

According to wcvb.com, Keri Chojnoswki was walking her dog in the area of Bowes Avenue in Quincy on Thursday, April 18 around 3 p.m. when the coyote started following them.

"It was scary. I've never been so scared, actually," she said.

The video shows the coyote leaping over a fence in pursuit of Chojnowski and her dog, Brody.

"I was flabbergasted that it hopped the fence," she said. "Then I started running."

She desperately tried to get her dog Brody to follow her home as the coyote got closer.

"I was dragging him. Come on, Brody. Come on," she said.

Coyote sightings are common in the neighborhood. A few years ago, coyotes attacked and killed a small Maltese in the area.

"They run around. They just run around," one resident said.

"Animal Control, when I called, said the best thing that you can do… is be loud, have an air horn, have a whistle," Chojnowski said.
