8-Point Buck Crashes Through Salon Window

Time at the salon is supposed to be relaxing, but the customers at one Long Island, New York, salon got quite the shock when a buck crashed through a window and jumped over a woman who was sitting on a couch.

According to ABC 7, the incident occurred at Be.you.tiful Hair Salon on Saturday.

"It's crazy," salon owner Jenisse Heredia said. "I still can't believe this happened."

Heredia was cutting a man's hair when the deer jumped through the window.

"Pretty much I was screaming, you hear my scream," Heredia said. "I see him coming this way, and I don't know. I just don't even know how to react."

Heredia said the deer ran into a tiny break room in the back, smearing blood on the walls, before running back through the salon and out through the front door with a hair straightener tangled in its antlers.

The buck (which looks to be a nice 8-pointer) ran across a busy four-lane highway and into the woods. The hair straightener was later recovered in some bushes across the street.

"A lot went through my head really fast," salon employee Melissa Mulvey said. "It's like, where do you go? Left, right, run this way...I don't know what to do. She doesn't know what to do. I tried to jump up, there's nothing to jump on top of. And you just kind of, I don't know, those antlers were really scary."
