Florida Black Bear Enjoys Hammock
Rummaging through garbage cans and birdfeeders can be exhausting, so no wonder this Florida black bear decided to rest in a comfy hammock it discovered in a Daytona Beach neighborhood last Thursday night.
Luckily, photographer Rafael Torres was able to capture some amusing photos of the bear lounging in the hammock.
Torres told WESH.com that he was approximately 60 feet away from the bear when he took the photos, but the bear didn't seem bothered by his presence. It remained in the hammock for 20 minutes before heading back into the woods around 8:15 p.m.
The homeowner Vincent James, said, "He got in the hammock like he was a tourist or something. Then something spooked him and he ran right back there. Then half an hour later I come back and I saw there he is in the hammock again."
Residents of the Pebble Creek neighborhood had spotted the bear rummaging for food several times since Wednesday. No doubt, it'll be back.
