If Santa arrives late this Christmas, it's probably because he's been in the marsh enjoying the fantastic 2017-'18 waterfowl season. From the Canadian prairies to the Texas coast, it's been one to remember.
Of course, quality gear helps waterfowl hunters enjoy their time afield by keeping their mind off the elements and other concerns. No matter the conditions, your gun and loads must function flawlessly, and your clothing has to keep you warm and dry.
With that in mind, let's look at some great Christmas wish-list items for waterfowlers ‚ adorned in Realtree camo, of course. All will help you be a better duck and goose hunter.

Dressed in Realtree Max-5, this parka has a durable nylon rip-stop outer shell, and is water- and windproof, with a relaxed fit. It has ArcticShield Retain Technology, which varies the heat level to provide warmth where you need it most while still allowing you room to move. Retain captures more than 90 percent of body heat and maintains 90 percent heat longer than similar products. The parka also features several zippered pockets, an adjustable draw-cord hood, a chin cover with hook and loop closure, and adjustable wrist cuffs with hook and loop tabs.
These rugged breathable waders use ArcticShield's Retain heat-retention technology in the boots and the Retain Active breathable heat-retention technology throughout the body and legs. Featuring quilted insulation for added warmth, they have a three-ply taslon breathable construction and steel-shank, neoprene-lined rubber boots with cleated outsoles. With a reinforced seat area, full-length chaps and adjustable zippered side panels, the waders come in Realtree Max-5.
Banded set out to create the lightest and most comfortable breathable waders, and it came up with the Redzone Elite, available in Realtree Max-5. Banded fused revolutionary fabrics with an advanced waterproof, breathable laminate to create the Super Hydrophobic Evaporative Development System, or SHEDS. Then, it created the cutting-edge Heat Absorbing Retention System, or HARS, for the insulated version. The waders also feature taped seams, knees reinforced with 900D fabric and 1,600 grams of Thinsulate integrated in the boot.
The Black Label Wader Jacket, in Realtree Max-5, also features a SHEDS outer layer to shield against rain and wind. Also, it has waterproof seams to keep you dry in any situation, and a PrimaLoft-insulated inner zip-out layer with a 100-gram PrimaLoft Silver insulation to hold out the chill. The liner can be removed and used as a stand-alone jacket.
How could Benelli improve on the venerable SBE and its time-tested Inertia-Driven System? How about improving the gun's functional ergonomics? The SBEIII features an oversized safety and bolt handle, plus an outward-angled drop lever to make it quicker and easier to operate with gloved hands. Using Beretta's proven gas-operated system, this gun features a rotating bolt head and new feeding system, providing reliable speed and great performance. Available in Realtree Max-5, the shotgun uses Kick Off, a recoil-reduction system with two hydraulic dampeners similar to those in automobile suspensions. Also, it features Kick Off Mega, a hydraulic dumper that eliminates slipping between the stock and cheek and dramatically reduces muzzle rise. A third hydraulic damper further mitigates recoil and reduces mechanical stress. The Unico has ACQUA Technology, so internal parts are produced with rustproof protective coatings. The slide, carrier and trigger are covered with anti-glare treatment, and the barrel and receiver are protected through a special dipping treatment that shelters the gun from corrosion in all conditions.

The Maxus also features Browning's Lightning Trigger, Speed Lock Forearm and Power Drive Gas System, with large exhaust ports that dump gases faster with heavy loads, and a piston with a stroke that's about 20 percent longer for better reliability with light loads.
Perfect for mild early-season hunts, the shirt is made of 7.5 ounces of polyester and cotton, so it has a soft texture that stays quiet when birds circle overhead.
