The 70th Annual Rattlesnake Round-Up in Morris, Pennsylvania, concluded its two-day event with 56 hunters catching 15 snakes. According to mytwintiers.com, the hunters competed on Saturday, June 14, to catch the longest snake. They hunted around Clinton, Lycoming, and Tioga counties. The winning rattlesnake measured 56 inches long. No hunters were bitten during the competition.

Snakes that were caught during the hunt were displayed throughout the weekend and were under supervision of the Noxen Volunteer Fire Company. The snakes were released unharmed into their original locations after the event. The Fire Company hosts the event, and it is a top fundraiser, producing 50% of the fire company’s budget each year.
