I love a good venison cheeseburger. In fact, I’ll often set aside a portion of my venison to grind at an 80/20 ratio with bacon ends and pieces that I pick up from a local butcher shop. These packs get labeled and saved exclusively for grilled burgers. This pasta dish tastes a lot like a great grilled venison burger, only with noodles and lots of creamy, cheesy sauce. You can use a jar of store bought Alfredo sauce for this one to make it quick and easy, or make your own if you have a favorite recipe.
This recipe starts with four diced slices of bacon. Cook them along with a diced onion until the bacon is crisp. Remove the bacon and onion from the skillet and set them aside.

In the same pan, brown a pound of ground venison, breaking it up as it cooks.
Brown the ground venison in the leftover bacon grease for extra flavor.
Once the venison is cooked, add the Alfredo sauce. Return the bacon and onion to the pan and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Add the mustard and ketchup and stir to combine. Like pickles on your burgers? Chop some up and add them to the pan.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer, finishing with the cooked pasta.
Finish by stirring in 8 ounces of the pasta of your choosing, cooked to package instructions. Add a salad and some garlic bread and you have a quick, full meal that everyone will love.
