Drew Gregory has been pioneering the sport of kayak fishing since it's early days, as he first got into kayak fishing in 2004. He went full time in the sport in 2009 to design fishing kayaks from an angler’s perspective. Today he designs for Crescent Kayaks, but ever since his first signature series designs, up to his latest with Crescent Kayaks (the Shoalie), Drew's designs have set new "standards" in kayak fishing. He prides himself on developing never before seen features that are now standard on nearly all, or many, fishing kayaks
In 2020 he shifted focus to the tournament side of the sport, where he's now fished over 50 national tournaments which have resulted in an average finish of 14, out of an average field size of 140 (top 10%). His success led him to earn the 2020 Angler of the Year title in the Hobie Bass Open Series and more recently the 2022 Angler of the Year title in the Bassmaster Kayak Series. He has national wins on Lake Dardanelle, Grand Lake, Lewis Smith Lake, Lake Champlain and Pickwick Lake.
