Forty years go by faster than you think. You younger folks shouldn’t forget that!
Some things change through the decades — but many of the best ones don’t. Family, Friends, and the Outdoors. That’s been our slogan here at Realtree since day one, and I’m proud to say we’ve lived by it for more than 40 years.
Realtree has always been a family-owned business. Many of you have watched my children grow up on Monster Bucks and Realtree Outdoors — sitting beside me in the deer blind or walking the turkey woods. Now they’re forging their own paths, and I couldn’t be prouder of each of them. My greatest wish isn’t that they follow in my footsteps, but that they live happy, healthy, meaningful lives and choose the paths that are right for them.
Even the strongest family won’t make it without good friends…and when I say friends, I mean the people who believed — the men and women who took a chance on Realtree when I didn’t have much more than an idea, and the customers who chose our brand and stayed loyal through the years.
In those early days, I honestly didn’t know if we’d make it. Folks came to work for me without guarantees, and they stuck with it. Today, many of those original team members are retiring — and they’ve earned every bit of it. It’s the end of an era in one sense, but it also fills my heart to think about what’s ahead: a new generation of Team Realtree, new ways we connect with our customers, and an incredible community that continues to grow stronger every year.
The outdoors has always been at the heart of what we do. I still believe people are at their best when they’re outside. A November sunrise and the sight of a good whitetail slipping through the timber still gets my blood pumping. So does a turkey gobbling on a warm April morning. That feeling never gets old — and I hope it never does.
That’s why you matter so much to us.
Your loyalty — season after season, year after year — means more to me than I can put into words. It’s the reason Realtree is still here 40 years later, and it’s why we want to give something back.
