Accomplished angler and Thomas and Thomas fly rods advisor and global ambassador to Alumacraft boats, Abel and Ross Reels, Rebekka is a globe-trotting angler. Always in pursuit of far away remote waters that hold elusive species of fish. With 20+ years of fishing, travel experience and storytelling under her belt, she photographs and writes about her adventures, with a particular focus on her lifelong obsession: the behemoth northern pike. She holds a personal best of 51 inches caught on the fly.
Recognized as a world-renowned fly angler, Rebekka has been featured in Mens Journal print magazine and Womens Health print magazine, and was named top 10 female angler in the world. She has also been presented with the NOSA sportswoman of the year award. In addition to her fishing pursuits, Rebekka is accomplished in film and media, with experience in acting, directing, script writing, and cinematography. She has worked with award-winning filmmakers/directors/productions such as Jako Lucas, RA Beattie, Cinema Cartel, WheresNext, Westfort films. She currently works with production companies such as MGM and Paramount.
She has hosted and directed numerous fishing/travel shows on channels such as Outdoor Channel, PBS, Sportsmans, Wild tv, WFN. Successfully hosted/ emceed over 25 cities with the FT3 Fly Fishing Film Tour internationally. She chose to leave behind hosting tv years ago, to step out on her own, & be “contract free”. Collaborating with other forward thinking adventurers to create unique films / content / media.
"My fly rod has been the gateway to my higher self,” says Rebekka. "It has taught me about the depths of who I am, it’s been my shrink, and it’s been my parachute. Most of all it’s been my addiction."
