Realtree 40th Anniversary

LONG LIVE REAL

40 Years off the Trail
40 years is a long time. From our first colored-pencil pattern, to 30,000 products and counting, we remain inspired by one thing: The Real. Following it has led us off the beaten path and into the company of every kind of hunter and every season. These milestones mark the journey we’ve shared, blazing our own trail through the outdoors alongside friends and family.

Realtree
founded
Bill Jordan sat in the front yard of his mom’s house in Columbus, Georgia and started to sketch the unique bark features of an old oak tree. As an avid outdoorsman, he wanted to create a camouflage pattern that looked like the real woods. Unlike the military style camo patterns that were available on hunting apparel in those days. The pattern would later be called REALTREE® Original.
