The 2025 Georgia bow season opened on September 13, and the Realtree crew hit the ground running in their home state. Both Tyler Jordan and Bryan Brown arrowed outstanding bucks shortly after the season began (and you can see clips from both hunts in the video above).

Early season success usually boils down to finding the right food source. During the first half of September, many bucks are sticking to their late-summer routines, making them relatively easy to pattern. Green food plots and soybean fields are always choice spots, but this year’s drought, which gripped Georgia and much of the rest of the Southeast, meant many of those green food plots were dry and dormant by opening day. That’s when supplemental feeding can become especially helpful.

The Realtree crew has been using various products from 4S Advanced Wildlife Solutions for the past few seasons, and Tyler and Bryan credited Roasted Raxx deer feed in particular with helping them seal the deal on their early season bucks. This premium deer feed has corn — we all know deer love it — but it’s also blended with roasted soybeans, which provide a big boost of extra protein. Roasted Raxx is a clean feed that works great in broadcast feeders, although Tyler and Bryan both found success by simply scattering it on the ground.

September has already been one to remember, but deer season is just getting started for Team Realtree. Check back often for daily big buck stories, activity reports, hunting tips, and more!
