A home security camera captured footage of the coyote grabbing the small dog at the California home
A home security camera caught the tense moment when a coyote grabbed a small dog belonging to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and his wife, Brittany Furlan, in their California backyard.
According to ABC 7 Chicago, Furlan, an actress and comedian, posted the video to social media, which shows their two dogs by their backyard pool. A coyote suddenly runs up and snatches Neena, their 10-year-old long-haired English cream dachshund, and attempts to run off with it.
The coyote even tries to leap over the back wall with the dog in its mouth, but Furlan catches up to it and is able to rescue the dog.
"Neena is safe," she posted. "I climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she's a little bit fat because he couldn't make it over the wall with her."
Lee, who was inside the house at the time, can be seen running outside after hearing her screams. Fortunately by then, Furlan had rescued Neena and the coyote ran away.
Furlan said the couple had never seen a coyote in their San Fernando Valley backyard before this incident. She said the coyote jumped over a 10-foot wall to gain access to their yard.
She said she posted the disturbing video to her Instagram account so people know to remain vigilant for any threats to their beloved pets.
