Tommy Woods from Hiram, Georgia won his first bowfishing championship in Louisiana in 2008. With that first win, Tommy and his Thrills and Kills Outdoors team set the world record at that time – taking 866 pounds of rough fish for a 20-fish total. Since then Tommy and the team have won the World Champion Bowfishing tournament in 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2022, two Muzzy Classics (2012 and 2015
In 2016 the team won their first Bass Pro Open with a Bowfishing Association of America (BAA) record 20-fish limit that weighed 1001.4 pounds. The team won the Open again in 2021 to become the only team to ever win it twice. When Tommy’s not on the water, he’s more than likely in the woods hunting whatever’s in season at the time.
