Did You Place a Red Sticker on the NWTF Turkey Town Map?
Realtree attended the recent NWTF Convention, along with others from around the country.
One cool feature this year took place at the entrance to the event. A colorful map represented folks from around the country, and even Canada and Mexico. It was great. You were given a red sticker. You were encouraged to place it on the state where you live.
Pretty neat if you ask me. Of course not everyone put a red sticker up there, as an estimated 50,000 people (or more) attended. Still, this map gives you a pretty good idea.
Check out this photo blog to see where people came from. Is one of your red stickers up there?
Realtree friends, family and fans had a big presence at the recent NWTF Convention.
The "Turkey Town" map was one cool thing to see.

A lot of attendees came from the Deep South, Kentucky and Tennessee, along with surrounding states, as the 2017 NWTF Convention was held in Nashville.
That's a lot of red, folks.

Pennsylvania, where I was born, raised and first turkey hunted, and Maine, where I now make my home base, both saw show attendees, along with other Northeastern states.
One of those red dots in Southern Maine is mine.

Yep, even Hawaii had some NWTF Convention attendees.

Alaska is the only state in the country that doesn't offer turkey hunting seasons.
Turkey hunters travel for what they love, and you'll see some red dots here, too.

I've hunted in a number of the states pictured here, including California.
Clearly there are wild turkey hunters and fans of the bird around the country.

States pictured here have a lot of turkeys. Period.
You can see many were well-represented at the NWTF Convention.

We turkey hunters are members of an extended family.
We come from all around the country, and neighboring countries.
Next year's 2018 NWTF Convention is February 14 through 18.
We can't wait to get back there . . .
